December 2023 Board Meeting

The meeting took place at 7pm on December 5th, 2023 at the residence of the Board President. Meeting Highlights:

Treasury:

• At the time of the meeting (12/5/2023):

  • $57,000 in the back ($37,000 in reserves made for major disasters or expenditures)

  • $3,000 in checking

• Increasing budget to $1,000 annually for new community events

• Increasing new resident welcome gift to $50

• Follow-up:

  • How much is reasonable to keep in reserves (research, discuss with legal)

Property Management:

• $16,443 including 3% to keep our current landscapers for 2024

• $476 per application for NatureScape for weeding

• $400 per tree for ashbore treatments

• Follow-up:

  • How much for picnic tables instead of benches

  • Obtain a quote for mulch

Communications:

• New website to be created and populated

• We will link to historical documents on the website

• Creating a form for anonymous feedback

• Follow-up:

  • Dunja to provide a drone photo of the neighborhood for the website

  • Toni to create meeting minutes in blog posts

Projects:

The main conversation has been around repairing or replacing the bike path. Some concerns were discussed:

• May have to dig in some sections

• Might have some drainage issues

• Funding for the project (reserves, lobbying for Village of Green Oaks support, special assessment discussed as options)
